Jeri
Rogers began
her photographic career as a fashion model in New York City,
where she studied under leading Fashion Photographers. Her
lifetime career has included working
in the photojournalist field, publishing, teaching children
pinhole photography, portrait work, weddings and video production.
She is currently a member of the Professional Photographers
of America.
Her
credits include "Wounded Sky," a PBS Documentary she wrote
and co-produced, and "ARTEMIS," a literary and
art journal she created which features Blue Ridge Mountain
Artists and Writers. She has also recently completed a state-wide
anti-smoking billboard campaign using her black and white
images.
Ms.
Rogers work has been widely published and can be found in
private and public art collections. Jeri Rogers travels
world-wide, operating her fine art photography business
out of her Barn Studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
Jeri resides in Floyd, VA with her husband, attorney Jonathan Rogers. Their oldest child, Jennifer, is an honors graduate from Harvard College and is the Director of Development for the Mayhem Project producing movies in Hollywood. Their son, Jackson, is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and is a musician living in and performing around the San Francisco Bay area. His band is called "Mind Orchestra" you can listen to his music on www.myspace.com/mindorchestra. Jared, their youngest son is an executive sous chef at Piccos Restaurant in Marin County, California.
